INTRODUCING...
The Lookout ~ a People-Finder and Voice of the People magazine. The focus of this publication will be on children, families and those who's lives have been blighted by crime. Our aim and objectives are to help them find healthier and happier lives. Most of all, to help assist and guide in protecting the children and their loved ones.
How will this be done? The Lookout will be a one-stop resource publication for professionals and ordinary citizens who want to fight the crime that targets society's most innocent members: children.
Hardly a day passes without news of a child who has been beaten, killed, enticed into prostitution, tortured or who prefers to sleep on the streets because it's better than sleeping at home. But we can fight back! This magazine provides answers and hope to the pain on the streets and in the homes of this country. We can offer direction, vital information, guidance and create awareness in print about the most talked fears which have raised the hairs on the back of everyone's neck and caused countless groups in Canada and the United States to rise up in defense.
In The Lookout, you will find up-to-date pictures of North America's most wanted criminals, along with their backgrounds. You will find key address and phone numbers of organizations that will help kids in need or deal with domestic violence. You will find interviews with professionals who face these problems everyday and you will read stories of people who actually live and experience these lives.
Those of us who are committed to this publication, cannot however do it alone. To do this we need operating funds and equipment. You can assist by becoming a member of The Lookout and receive twelve monthly issues of the magazine; by either donating towards The Lookout's operating expenses; by donating equipment, or by expressing in writing how you would like new venture to reflect the concerns of your community.
